The Supreme Court of Washington Blog provides news, information, and analysis of the cases before the Supreme Court of Washington. We also publish an accompanying Supreme Court of Washington Podcast.

The Supreme Court of Washington Blog is published by the Constitutional Law Center of the Evergreen Freedom Foundation, a not-for-profit public policy organization in Olympia, Washington. The Foundation’s mission is to advance individual liberty, free enterprise, and limited, accountable government. Its primary research areas are budget and taxes, education, labor, elections, initiatives and referenda, and open government.
 

About Jonathan Bechtle

Jonathan Bechtle is legal counsel and chief operations officer for the Evergreen Freedom Foundation, where he assists the general counsel and oversees the day-to-day operations of the foundation. He has testified to Congress as an expert on election law, and his research has been published and cited by the Washington Times, the Seattle Times, the Seattle P-I, World Magazine and numerous other media outlets. He is co-author of the book To Protect and Maintain Individual Rights: A Citizen’s Guide to the Washington State Constitution, Article I. Prior to joining the foundation Jonathan served as a political assistant in the Georgia and Indiana legislatures, and a legal assistant in the Indiana Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.

About Trent England

Trent England is Director of the Citizenship & Governance Center at the Evergreen Freedom Foundation. He researches, writes, and speaks about election security, open government, and the American founding. Trent was a 2008 Publius Fellow of the Claremont Institute. He has run for office twice and was a legal policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation where he wrote for OverCriminalized.com.

About Michael Reitz

Michael Reitz is general counsel of the Evergreen Freedom Foundation, where he oversees the organization’s legal affairs. He has testified before several state legislatures and his research has been published and cited by the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe, the Seattle Times, and other periodicals. He is a co-author of To Protect and Maintain Individual Rights, a guide to the Declaration of Rights in the Washington Constitution.
